NEXTGEN’s Solar Home Lighting Systems are fixed installations designed for domestic application, suitable for both urban and rural conditions.

These stand-alone, decentralized systems allow consumers to harness the sun’s energy and produce their own electricity to fulfill their home lighting needs in an effective, convenient and independent manner.

Solar Home Lighting System - LED (light emitting diode)

The NEXTGEN LED Solar Home Lighting System successfully integrates the latest in solar photovoltaic and LED technologies, harnessing the power of the sun to provide a clean, reliable and cost effective alternative to home lighting.

LED lamps consume very little power as compared to conventional incandescent bulbs and as a result LED based solar home light systems require much smaller solar panels and batteries compared to other conventional systems. In addition, with a life of more than 50,000 hours, LEDs do not require expensive replacement for several years offering a cheap, efficient and reliable solution for household level electrification in rural areas, for homes that are not connected to grids or where electric supply is erratic.

The NEXTGEN Solar Home Lighting System includes:

  • Three solar PV modules (12 volts, 8 watts)
  • Solar charge controller
  • Solar battery (12 volts, 7 AH)
  • Mobile charger with fan (optional)
  • Lighting system consisting of 3watt LED luminaries
  • DC to DC constant current converter provides more than 85% efficiency constant light output
  • Interconnecting cables and switches
